It's official, Holly Marie Combs is back! Holly has been cast in ABC's upcoming (teen) drama series Pretty Little Liars scheduled to premiere June 8 @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC Family! Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports that Holly plays Ella Montgomery, the mother of Aria Montgomery and her TV hubby is Chad Lowe. Holly's first day back to work was April 14th. Because Holly replaces Jean Louisa Kelly, her scenes are reshots so there are no promos of Holly as of yet.
The series follows the lives of four girls — Spencer, Hanna, Aria, and Emily — whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their queen bee, Ali(son). One year later, they begin receiving messages from someone using the name "A" who threatens to expose their secrets — including long-hidden ones they thought only Ali knew. Pretty Little Liars has been described as a blend of Desperate Housewives and I Know What You Did Last Summer for teens, being something along the lines of Gossip Girl. Cast includes Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale, Nia Peeples, Laura Leighton, Bianca Lawson.
