Like Rianne said, you can use one of the avatars the board provides.
To get one of those you have to go to profile at the top of this page.
(It's in the row with Home / Help / Members and so on)
And from there you go to Modify profile. Go to the part where it says "Avatar" and it pretty much explains itself from there. If you still have problems getting one you can always PM Rianne or me!
